Qualitative Findings: Overview


A part of the survey asked respondents to share their perspectives about the barriers preventing deaf and hard of hearing students from achieving their potential. We focused on seven barriers to better understand the respondents’ perspectives:

  • Family Involvement and Support
  • Lack of Understanding
  • Language and Communication
  • Literacies
  • Resources
  • Students with Disabilities
