This video was produced in collaboration with Clerc Center and ASL Connect in response to the severe impact of COVID-19 on educational experiences of deaf children and their families. Clerc Center recognizes the ongoing need for bilingual resources for families to share with their deaf children in the form of children’s books. The pandemic magnified this need, as many deaf children were isolated from their peers and educators. The timeless themes of resilience and social justice reflected in this book will be a great resource for discussion while enjoying its rich production value.
Special thanks to Scholastic Inc. and Orchard Books for their permission to produce this title in ASL and English.
