2026
Administrators Summer Immersion Experience (ASIE)
“Do the best you can until you know better. Then once you know better, do better.” -Maya Angelou
When we know better, we do better! Following Maya Angelou’s wisdom, ASIE gathers state and school leaders from across the nation to learn, reflect, network, and plan for your state/school d/hh program. Sessions will focus on ASL/Deaf culture immersion, creating and fostering language rich environments, navigating change leadership challenges, and considerations for maximizing your leadership/impact within your state/school program.
ASIE 2026 provides program leaders the opportunity to dive deeper into key strategies and concepts related to cultivating and sustaining an effective ASL/English bilingual program. Leaders will engage in discussions that challenge and expand their thinking, hands-on activities that build understanding of key concepts, planning sessions that equip and prepare them for the school year ahead, and meaningful networking with other leaders and professionals in the field.
