Funding for Clerc Center operations is administered by Gallaudet University. The Clerc Center relies on the generosity of employees, alumni, foundations, and other community members to increase its capacity in providing enhanced value to its programs and services.
Gifts to the Clerc Center are tax-deductible and is administered by the Institutional Advancement office at Gallaudet University, which supports the Clerc Center in arranging for endowments, estate gifts, and other forms of planned giving as well as recognition opportunities.

The Laurent Clerc National Deaf Education Center at Gallaudet University is a federally funded center with exemplary elementary and secondary education programs for deaf and hard of hearing students and is tasked with developing and disseminating innovative curricula, instructional techniques, and products nationwide while providing information, training, and technical assistance for parents and professionals to meet the needs of deaf and hard of hearing students from birth to age 21.
