In 2013, the Clerc Center published the "Critical Needs of Students Who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing: A Public Input Summary." This summary provides an in-depth summary on the barriers that deaf and hard of hearing children and their families encounter as they navigate their academic journey. Read on.

Parent Advocacy

In 2015, the Clerc Center investigated how parents and caregivers advocate for the needs of their deaf or hard of hearing child. This is the first known research study specifically designed to examine how parents advocate for the educational accommodations and related services for their child who is deaf or hard of hearing.
