They explored a cave. They lowered themselves into hot sulfur springs. They climbed to mountain-tops, where they looked down at farms far below. They ate cabbage rolls. And they danced the Hora. The 17 students, faculty, and staff in Gallaudet University’s Young Scholars Program (YSP) last summerdid all of the above and a lot more when they took part in a performance tour of Romania. The students, who were part of a program that began the summer before on Gallaudet’s campus, were in Phase II of the YSP program—Road Signs Tour of Romania.
