Teacher Info

Several resources are available to help teachers as they implement videoconference technology. In addition to the links in the box to the left, the following options are available through this project:

  • Deaf Videoconference Listserv
(a listserv provided by the American School for the Deaf that facilitates communication among teachers interested in videoconference technology with deaf and hard of hearing students.)

  • Deaf Videoconference Discussion Forum (future)
(link to pages that describes how to join forum and that has a link to the forum) (a discussion forum in which teachers can post questions and we can keep historical records of posts; this tool allows for threads as requested by Denise vs. the listserv idea above. Gallaudet can create the discussion forum for us.)

  • Lesson Plans (future)
(a searchable database of lesson plans utilizing videoconference technology; registered users can submit lesson plans)

  • Find a Partner
(a searchable database of teachers looking for partners for school projects; registered users can submit a request for a partner)

  • Technical and Other Useful Information
    • (tips on setting up videoconference activities with deaf and hard of hearing students)
