Introduction

I like Anthony A. Hajna because he was a good bacteriologist. He knew many things. I enjoyed him because he helped to many people made better. I didn't know that deaf work bacteriologist.

Anthony A. Hajna

When Anthony A. Hajna was five years old, he lost his hearing. He was sick from meningitis. He went to school when he was five years old. He went to Mystic School for the Deaf in Connecticut.

He went to college and he learned about bacteriologist. He traveled many places. In 1930, he went to Gallaudet College for B.A. degree. He joined Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health in Baltimore.

He joined U.S Public Health Service in Cincinnati,Ohio. He was picked to be assistant bacteriologist in the central laboratory of the Maryland State Department of Health. The State Board of Health did many tests to check food. He enjoyed working bacteriologist in laboratory.

He died on March 14,1992 in Springfield,Massachusetts. He died 84 years old.
