job before landing a permanent job as an auditor for the US Department
of the Army. I am now considering a career change concentrating
in computer specialist and am studying to become a MCSE (Microsoft
Certified System Engineer). Outside of my job, I am happily married
to Kathie of 8 years and we now reside in Crofton, Maryland. we

Big Hello Everyone!
I am very much alive, and currently separated single mother of my 2 school-aged
children who are 12 yrs. old daughter and 7 yrs old son.
After
my Gallaudet graduation in Dec., 1987 and my daughter born on Mar., 1988, I
had been from job to job before landing a permanent job as a Customer Service
Clerical for First North American National Bank (FNANB), a subsidiary of Circuit
City Store, Inc. in Richmond, VA this year (1999). While working in a full-time
job, I completed Web Development courses to earn my Journeyman Web Developer's
certificate on Sept., 1999 in preparation of job promotion as a Webmaster or
Web Designer/Developer as well as completed Microsoft Administration
courses in order to prepare for MCSE (Microsoft Certified System
Engineer) or MCSD (Microsoft Certified System Developer) certification
exams at John Tyler Community College in Chester and Midlothian,
VA (both campuses) with provided certified interpreters .
Presently, I am seeking for full-time permanent Webmaster/Developer
position anywhere that I am willing to relocate in order to move
on with my new life being single again.

Just read through most of the posts and I'm glad to see most of you all are
doing well!
My story? Let's see, after leaving Gallaudet in '85 I hopped on
over to Eastern Kentucky University for a year then made another
hop on over to Wichita State University where I finally graduated.
Pulled an 8 year stint in Kansas (I worked as a counselor with Deaf
and Deaf-Blind clients there) then grew tired and blew that pop stand
(don't ask how I wound up in Kansas). By the way, I don't know how
I totally missed my fellow Long Islander, Ron Symansky, while I was
in Kansas...have to be legally blind to have missed that giant :)
I'm in Richmond, Kentucky now working at Eastern Kentucky University
with the deaf students as a Transition Specialist. I'm a big-time
computer hobbyist (just ordered a new screaming machine from Dell
two nights ago which will become the fourth box on my home network...all
with different operating systems) and I got an MCSE on the side for
kicks, but I'm considering the possibilty of a future job in Networking
Administration. I've been married to a fantastic woman for 14 years
now, she's hearing and has 4 deaf brothers and sisters. We have two
great kids, a boy (Jimmy, 6) and a girl (Brianne, 4). My wife has
a total of eleven brothers and sisters nearby, thus, my kids have
aunts, uncles, and cousins galore so we're probably here to stay
(whee-doggie...no more u-hauling around the country).
