The issue includes articles about bullying in schools, counseling strategies, sand tray therapy, and other topics. The issue can be found at: -- Clerc Center’s Frequently Asked Questions Site Updated -- The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) site, which includes sections about the Clerc Center, deafness/hearing loss, cochlear implants, transition, literacy, family involvement, Clerc Center products, Clerc Center training, and the Gallaudet University Regional Centers, has been updated. Info to Go is a centralized source of up-to-date and objective information about topics dealing with deafness and hearing loss for the age group 0-21. The alumni web pages for Model Secondary School for the Deaf (MSSD) graduates have been revised. Included are a directory of graduates, a message board, reunion information, and more. The MSSD Alumni pages can be found at: http://clerccenter.gallaudet.edu/MSSD/Alumni/index.html.
A regular feature of On the Green (http://pr.gallaudet.edu/otg), a publication for Gallaudet University faculty and staff, the Clerc Center Happenings columns posted in August discussed the Fifth Annual PeeWee Academic Bowl at the Kendall Demonstration Elementary School and workshops held that highlighted visual phonics, cochlear implants and sign language, and SOAR-High Earth System Science. The April/May/June 2004 issue of the Clerc Center Connection, a monthly publication produced by the Clerc Center’s Training and Professional Development and Publications and Information Dissemination offices, has been posted online. Stories include, “Moving Forward for Student Achievement,” “Report to the Board of Trustees: The Clerc Center Website and Ruby Bridges,” “The Botball Competition: Year Two,” “Hoy Classic IV Baseball and Softball Tournament,” “Annual NBA Reads,” and others. MSSD now offers a web page especially for families.
