--Clerc Center's Literacy Site Gets Its Own Search Feature--

Because of the extensive information in the Literacy Web pages and the subject's importance-literacy is one of the Clerc Center's three priority areas-the top of the Literacy home page now has a feature that allows users to search just the Literacy pages or the whole Clerc Center Web site. The Literacy home page offers links to the Shared Reading Project, books from the Clerc Center, national literacy information, tips for reading to your deaf child, and other resources. It can be viewed at: http://clerccenter.gallaudet.edu/Literacy/index.html.

--Statewide Services, Performance Groups Among Updated, New Pages--

Info to Go is a centralized source of up-to-date and objective information about topics dealing with deafness and hearing loss for the age group 0-21. The following Info to Go Web pages were updated or added (previously they were print-only documents) in January:

-- Statewide Services for People Who Are Deaf and Hard of Hearing (http://clerccenter.gallaudet.edu/InfoToGo/501.html)

-- Performance Groups

--Training and Professional Development Revamps Its Web Site--

The Office of Training and Professional Development (TPD) has revamped its Web site. TPD coordinates the training and technical assistance that the Clerc Center sponsors throughout the nation. It also coordinates internal professional development and ASL instruction for Clerc Center teachers and staff and visits to the Clerc Center by educators and other professionals. The TPD Web site has an updated look and expanded information. It provides more about the office and workshops and training programs, forms for Clerc Center personnel, and other information. TPD's home page can be viewed at: http://clerccenter.gallaudet.edu/tpd/index.html.
