Introduction

Dr. Martin Luther King is perhaps one of the most well known civil rights leaders in America.  In his struggle to find equality and rights for all individuals he showed patience and great leadership qualities.  There were many individuals who opposed his message and methods but many loved and respected him. When you look at the paintings try to think of the positive characteristics of this great man.  Remember to think of the people who live in the United states with their diverse backgrounds, traditions and customs. Dr. King helped us to respect the rights and freedoms of all people.
