Technology is appearing in classrooms around the nation, but teachers are not being trained to use it. The TecEds project was established in January, 2000, to provide that needed training for teachers of deaf and hard of hearing students across the nation. By learning to integrate technology into the instructional process, these teachers are beginning to create visually rich learning environments for their students. This enhanced learning environment not only facilitates learning for the students, but it also provides them with the skills they will need for tomorrow's job market. Teachers across the nation are encouraged to share instructional strategies and materials with each other through the Clerc Center's online, interactive tools on this Web site. |
