Early Childhood Education“Our Garden Tea Party”
Students from Nancy Topolosky and Phyllis Ballinger’s classes prepared a presentation and exhibited their teapot project inspired by the 100 teapot display they saw during their visit to the Botanical Gardens. Art teacher Jum Reilly helped the children create their beautiful cups and saucers while dance teacher Marcia Freeman taught them a special formal dance. Counselor Grace Walker and communication specialist Bettie Waddy-Smith worked with the students on using appropriate table manners. Clerc Center dean Dr. Jankowski and Linda Jordan were also special guests of the event. (Photos from top to bottom: Kindergarten students perform their own rendition of the song “I’m a Little Tea Pot.”; Students demonstrate appropriate table manners with help from Grace Walker and Tyese Wright.; Students, parents, teachers and staff enjoy an afternoon of tea and conversation.; Kindergarten students dance the waltz for their visitors.)
