“Our Garden Tea Party”

teapot and cupsThe kindergarten team held a special event entitled “Our Garden Tea Party” and invited their parents to come. This special event was specifically held for the kindergarten classes because it was their last year in preschool.

Students from Nancy Topolosky and Phyllis Ballinger’s classes prepared a presentation and exhibited their teapot project inspired by the 100 teapot display they saw during their visit to the Botanical Gardens. Art teacher Jum Reilly helped the children create their beautiful cups and saucers while dance teacher Marcia Freeman taught them a special formal dance. Counselor Grace Walker and communication specialist Bettie Waddy-Smith worked with the students on using appropriate table manners. Clerc Center dean Dr. Jankowski and Linda Jordan were also special guests of the event.
