Eagle Zone

The Eagle Zone , located inside MSSD, is the cultural and social center for students. The Eagle Zone has table, video, and board games. It also has large-screen TVs, music, and a snack bar.

Videotapes are shown regularly for students' enjoyment. Weekend activities and evening program workshops are posted on the Eagle Zone's communication board.

The Eagle Zone is open daily as scheduled:

  • Monday to Thursday 3:10pm to 4:50pm & 6:00pm to 8:00pm
  • Friday 3:10pm to 4:50pm & 6:00pm to 10:50pm
  • Saturday, 1:00pm to 4:50pm & 6:00pm to 10:50pm
  • Sunday, 1:00pm to 4:50pm & 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Employment opportunities for students are offered in the Eagle Zone . The Eagle Zone is a student-run enterprise. Students become involved in all operational aspects of a small business under the supervision of an adult. As students learn and apply the concepts of business management, they also develop leadership skills and learn to take responsibility for themselves.

Students who take part in the student enterprise undergo intensive training throughout their experience. They learn basic job requirements, business management principles, record keeping, sales techniques, and supervisory skills. Students operate the following:

  • Snack bar, open daily afternoons and evenings
  • Eagle store, selling school supplies such as paper, pens, notebooks, and personal articles
  • Eagle Zone's games, decorations, dance floor, and cleanliness.
