Welcome to the Shared Reading Project!

Shared Reading Project: Keys to Success--Training for Site Coordinators

The five-day training will start March 17, 2008 at the Laurent Clerc National Deaf Education Center at Gallaudet University, Washington, DC. For more information, please contact Pat Dabney at the Training and Professional Development Office

The Shared Reading Project is designed to teach parents and caregivers how to read to their deaf and hard of hearing children using American Sign Language, and to use strategies to make book sharing most effective.

This site helps explain what the Shared Reading Project is, how it works, what is the research behind it, what we are learning, and how sites around the United States can set up their own Shared Reading Project.
