State ResourcesThe state resources listed below provide information and referral or direct services to deaf and hard of hearing children. They will be able to answer your questions about deafness and related information, or refer you to the most appropriate organizations and services in your area. This is not a comprehensive list, but rather a starting point to help you identify the different types of services available statewide. The State Office of Special Education provides information about local elementary and secondary programs for deaf and hard of hearing students. The state resources are available in Word or PDF document formats. To open PDF files, you will need Adobe Reader. To download a free copy, visit: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html. Information by state is updated periodically as it becomes available. Last updates: 5/24/07.
