-- Clerc Center Adds Frequently Asked Questions to Web Site -- -- “Deaf Eyes” Web Site Revamped, Educator’s Exhibit Guide Added -- -- Publications, Conference List Among Updated Info to Go Pages -- -- Academic Teams’ Sites Revised with New School Year Information -- -- Electricity Project of Integrated Pre-kindergarten Class Detailed Online -- **************************************************************** -- Clerc Center Adds Frequently Asked Questions to Web Site -- The Clerc Center has added a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page to its Web site. Included on this page are questions and answers about the Clerc Center in general, deafness/hearing loss, cochlear implants, transition, literacy, family involvement, and Clerc Center products and training. The FAQ page, which will expand over time, can be found at: http://clerccenter.gallaudet.edu/about/faq.html. -- “Deaf Eyes” Web Site Revamped, Educator’s Exhibit Guide Added -- The Web site for the "History Through Deaf Eyes" exhibition touring the country has been revised. The site includes information about the project, the exhibition plan, its tour dates and venues, information about hosting the exhibition, contact information for the project director and development team, and an Educator’s Exhibit Guide. The guide is intended to prepare students for a visit to the exhibition, to continue discussion about deaf people after a visit to the exhibition, to develop and supplement lesson plans for the exhibition, and to provide students with material to begin independent research on deaf people, the deaf community, and other communities. The “History Through Deaf Eyes” Web site can be found at: http://depts.gallaudet.edu/deafeyes. -- Publications, Conference List Among Updated Info to Go Pages -- Info to Go is a centralized source of up-to-date and objective information about topics dealing with deafness and hearing loss for the age group 0-21. Information about the Early Childhood Education programs, Team 1/2/3, Team 4/5, Team 6/7/8, Team 9, Team 10, Team 11, and Team 12 can be found from this index page: http://clerccenter.gallaudet.edu/AcademicTeams/index.html. -- Electricity Project of Integrated Pre-kindergarten Class Detailed Online -- “Electricity: What Makes It Work?,” a project by the integrated pre-kindergarten class that involved parents in the educational process, is described on a new Web site.
