I GRADUATED!

contributed by Norah Matthews

I am walking up there onto the stage. I already have two awards and now I am getting a certificate. Why am I getting certificate? Well, that certificate proves that I graduated from KDES.

On Friday June 13, 2003, while I was up there shaking Harriett Alexander-Whiting and Dr. Katherine Jankowski’s hands, it made me aware of what was going on. What an experience! I am amazed that I graduated after all my time here. I am also amazed that I finished my Middle School step and am going on to my High School step.

I am so anxious to go to High School. At the same time I wanted to stay at KDES. But, I am more eager to get to High School instead of staying at Middle School.

I did not go through the Middle School road by myself. I did have some help on the way. The teachers, Roberta, Nicole, Maureen, and all the staff at KDES helped me. But, number one is my friends at Kendall. When I was down, they would cheer me up. When I steered off course, they guided me back to the right track. When I could not go on anymore, they pushed me.

To everyone at KDES, Thanks.
